How Did A Combination Of Red And White Grapes Turn Blue?

According to the creators, the bluish color is derived from a special pigmentation process. The first stage involves creating a mixture of red and white grapes. Two organic ingredients, anthocyanin and indigo pigments naturally found in grape skin, are then added to the base mixture to produce a crisp and cool-looking sapphire color. The young founders of Gik decided on a bluish tint which to them, represents innovation, movement and infinity.

Is It Safe To Drink And How Much Does It Cost?

The production and creation of Gik’s blue wine were conducted and monitored by a recognized food tech company and a major university in Spain. Quality control and testing pass strict European Union standards and is considered safe to consume. A bottle will cost around USD$9 to USD$10.
